Please read this document before ordering any goods and or services from Octix PC Customs Ltd.
When ordering from Octix, you agree to be bound to these Terms and Conditions. We may refer to ourselves as Octix PC Customs Ltd, Octix, or Octix Customs but all are bound to the Octix PC Customs Ltd name.
Any materials/ equipment products supplied by Octix for any DIY installation by yourself will not be covered by any guarantee. Should you install our materials, equipment / products in error including your own damage to your personal property, Octix are not responsible. Octix are also not responsible for personal accident of your own making while using products supplied by us.
All our non-handmade brand products (LED's, Case Fans, CPU Coolers etc) are kept at the stock level of our supplier. This is checked on a week by week basis. If you order a product that states it is in stock but the supplier has not got this in stock we will notify you. You then have the right to request a refund of the purchased item or wait until the supplier has this item in stock. If you advise you would like to wait, we will endeavor our utmost to get this item to you as soon as humanly possible. If the item from the supplier has been discontinued then we will issue a refund.
• All work will be performed/completed once the customers payment has paid in full for our products and services.
• All handmade products have a minimum crafting period of 8-15 working days and is dependent on workload. This can take longer. If the order is to be over 15 days then you will be notified soon as possible.
As above - we operate 7 days a week but crafting days are Monday to Friday (UK working days). Weekends are set as admin days to answer messages and emails. We may craft on these days but is not a guarantee.
All crafting time frames are subject to change at any point at the discretion of Octix Staff/Directors.
• Please note that all sleeving colours listed on our site are subject to slight variations in colour. Our sleeve comes from a respectable supplier and we make every effort to display high quality images of our product range however the hue of the colour may be slightly different in some instances. This can also be down to your monitors display and Octix are not responsible for the variations in colour shading in any form.
• PLEASE NOTE all cables listed as EXTENSIONS are exactly that. They are extensions that are added to your original already existing PSU cables. Plugging these directly into your PSU can cause problems and issues when connected to your Motherboard/GPU. Please only ever plug these extensions into your already existing PSU cables to "EXTEND" the cable. If you plug these directly into your Power Supply then Octix are not responsible for any damage caused to components.
• Warranty on all cables is 6 months from date of purchase.
• Warranty is void if damage is caused by excessive mishandling and mistreatment of the cables, i.e removing wires from housings, bending beyond limits, stretching of cables, etc.

If you involve a 3rd party, i.e sell Octix goods you have purchased from us your warranty is not transferable
If you involve a 3rd party to repair the products you purchase from Octix your Warranty is automatically null and void.
Misuse or Abuse
Power Surges/Cuts causing Damage
Damage during transit unless when specified insurance has been requested by the customer to the full value of the goods.
The warranty claim is only valid in combination of original invoice and is at the discretion of Octix to replace or repair the defective product or defective component(s). The replaced product(s) are thereof property of Octix. Refunds and Returns are considered on a case by case basis.
All warranty claims are accomplished by Octix or its recognized dealers. If the repair is carried out by a non authorised or assigned person, Octix does not take over liability or responsibility unless the repair has been previously agreed with Octix.
Should you sell to a third party any Octix products and/or equipment within the 6 month warranty period your warranty with Octix will automatically be terminated. Our contract is personal to the purchaser of the product, service and equipment and is not transferable to a third party.
All costs of repairs are not the responsibility of Octix
This warranty does not cover damage caused by dust contamination, such as static charged dust/ metal filings; these can cause shorts and permanent damage.
Delivery Of Goods
Octix are responsible for your purchase until it reaches the distribution post office. Ownership of the package is turned over to the delivery company and Octix will not be liable for any loss or damage suffered by you through reasonable or unavoidable delay in delivery. Delivery dates are approximate only and not of any contractual effect, in good order, however, we accept no liability if the goods are damaged in transit and as such are your responsibility to take this up with the carrier of your parcel if the goods have been damaged in transit.
All cables and extensions are tested prior to dispatch and will only ever leave our site in full working order. The cables will then be quality controlled before sealed for dispatch. Once it is out of our hands it is out of our control.
All non-handmade products (LED's, Case Fans, Coolers, etc) are sealed by manufacturer. Our supplier may check random boxes for quality control on receipt of goods but will not test to make sure they are in working order. If they arrive DOA then this will be noticed fairly quickly to which our standard returns policy applies.
If goods are delivered by tracked and signed to the address given by the buyer and you are not at to receive the goods, Octix will not be responsible for the re-delivery to the said address or return of the goods back to Octix, no refund of compensation will be offered. Please see refund policy on cart page to see full refund terms and conditions.
If goods are attempted delivered via the Standard Shipping option then Octix are not responsible for the re-delivery of this. If via standard shipping the item is lost then it is up to the customer to chase this with the delivery company. We hold receipts of drop off of parcels and can prove this has been shipped. Please see insured amounts for delivery below and pick which ever suits you best:
All DIY orders are aimed to be shipped within 5 working days. This is due to OCTIX not holding stock on site at this present time and all stock levels are subject to our suppliers stock levels at the time. This can also change unknowingly and if we are unable to source your item then you will be notified when it will be back in stock and/or refunded.
Cable combs are very delicate. These are put on in production and quality checked before dispatch. Any issues will need to be taken up with courier. Once courier has compensated we can either issue the defective comb and customer can put this on however this will void warranty. We suggest sending the item back once been compensated by courier and we will replace faulty comb and send back thus not being affect by warranty. You must obtain a Returns Note for any goods returned to Octix and this note is available upon request
Due to amount of time invested in crafting our handmade products, any cancellations/returns made after the start of manufacture of these products will result in a restocking fee and this will be non negotiable.
We may withhold reimbursement until we have received the goods back or you have supplied evidence of having sent back the goods, whichever is the earliest.
You shall send back the goods or hand them over to us without undue delay and in any event no later than 14 days from the day on which you communicate your cancellation from this contract to us. The deadline is met if you send back the goods before the period of 14 days has expired.
If the goods supplied to you are damaged on delivery, you will need to contact the carrier as they leave our site in top condition.
If your goods are faulty, you must notify Octix immediately. If cables are not connecting properly this will be evident within a short period of time. If the product is not returned for exchange or repair when the fault is noticed by you, Octix will have the right to decide whether to offer a replacement, repair or refund. All exchanged goods will be like for like. All of this is subject to a confirmed exchange/refund/return case and this will be decided at the discretion of Octix on a case by case basis. You will need to notify Octix within 2 days of receiving the item if they are faulty.There will be no deviation on this policy, because many of our products are made to order.
If a refund on the product is needed then you will send back to us and provide receipt of postage and we will refund the postage and products when we receive the items in full and working order.
Orders to outside the U.K. are not exempt from shipping charges.
The Supplier will take all reasonable precautions to keep the details of your order and payment secure but unless the Supplier is negligent, the Supplier will not be liable for unauthorised access to information supplied by you.
These terms of sale and the supply of the goods will be subject to English law and the English courts will have jurisdiction in respect of any dispute arising from the contract.
The Supplier will not be under any liability whatsoever in the event that the Supplier is prevented or delayed from supplying or making delivery of any goods by any reason or cause beyond the Supplier's control. These events include acts of God, civil commotion, riots, flood, drought, fire, weather legislation or any acts by third party companies or individuals not either under contract to of employed by the Supplier.
Housekeeping in relation to Personal Computers
Here are a few tips to help keep your system running smoothly, efficiently and perform as well as the day it is delivered. These tips will also help keep your system in line with our warranty, so please take a few minutes to read!
Warning! When using electrical components, you should use basic safety precautions to minimize the risk to your system and yourself.
Keep work area clear. Ensure sufficient space for airflow around the entirety of the system. Overheating can cause instability, crashes and ultimately damaged components. Always allow your system to have sufficient ventilation.
Consider surroundings. Do not allow any part of your system to come into contact with damp or water. Do not use your system in the presence of flammable liquid or gases, this includes corrosive materials. Octix do not cover flood, water or environmental damage; damage including, storm, water, fire, overvoltage, high violence, war, insufficient air ventilation or other reasons.
Guard against electrical overload, shorting or insufficient power. This covers overloaded extension leads, we recommend, plugging system into its own single, electrical mains plug. Surge protection methods are also recommended.
Do not let pets or children near the system. Any electrical shocks, damage caused by or to pets, children, adults cannot be held responsible for by Octix
Keep system on a hard, flat and well supported surface.
Do not attempt to repair, fix or clean any mechanism or system at any time.
Do not store any system in excessive heat, humid/ damp or extreme cold conditions. Please note, this extends to point 2 regarding environment and surroundings.
Do not use any type of liquid spray or cleaning product (i.e. polish), on the exterior of case as it can cause permanent damage to internal components, Octix does not take responsibility for any damage caused thereof. Use anti-static wipes to clean dust. Do not attempt to clean interior as this will void warranty.
Never forcefully pull the cord to disconnect it from the socket, from either the power supply or mains plug. Keep the cord away from heat, oil, water and sharp edges. Only use the power cord supplied. Avoid using extension leads and multi socketed extension leads, ensure clean, safe power is provided at all times in accordance to point 3
Ensure repairs, maintenance and internal cleaning carried out by Octix, we will not take responsibility for a third party repair, maintenance or cleaning service, this will nullify the warranty instantly.
Do not attempt to alter any settings for hardware, in the BIOS or in the Windows environment. This extends to boot up settings and overclocking. Any attempt to alter any of these settings will instantly void warranty.
